FAQ
Short answers for the things families ask first: setup, location updates, alerts, privacy, and everyday controls on the map.
How do I connect my family?
Create or choose a circle, open the invite flow, choose the right role, and share the link or code. On the second phone, install GPSme, sign in, accept the invite, and allow location, notifications, and background work.
Why is location not updating?
Check internet, GPS, precise location, Always location permission, and battery restrictions on the phone whose location is missing. The Diagnostics screen in GPSme shows what needs attention.
What is Black Box?
Black Box records data and route movement on the phone when internet is unavailable or unstable. When the connection returns, GPSme can sync that data so the route is more complete.
Can I change the avatar order on the map?
Yes. Arrange members in the order that is most convenient for you, so the avatars you open most often stay closer on the map.
Can I move someone between circles?
Yes. Hold a member avatar and drag it to the target circle. GPSme will ask whether to add the person to that circle or move them there. Moving requires permission to add members to the target circle and remove them from the source circle.
Why is an event visible but no push arrived?
If an event is visible in GPSme, it was created. System notifications may still be disabled by Android or iOS, so check notification permission and GPSme notification settings on the receiving phone.
